OMI - "Cheerleader" (Felix Jaehn Remix)
Following the shoes of Robin Schulz production this song is breezy chill summer tune. It is a dance song but you can be chilling anywhere listening to it. OMI vocals sound close to Taio Cruz.
Calvin Harris feat. HAIM - "Pray to God"
Calvin Harris in 2015 has been stale to me. He is one of the producers that keeps following the same blueprint on pop edm songs in 2010s. Verse, chorus, edm drop, repeat. I have to praise Calvin Harris here as this is his best single from his recent album. I love the influence of "Eye of Tiger" in the guitar work. HAIM also puts on a great vocal performance, and the lyrics are pretty good. Calvin Harris has become a staple with summer songs in the 2010s and looks to continue his streak here.
Martin Garrix feat. Usher - "Don't Look Down"
When I first listen to this song I was surprised how different it was from,"Animals". The production is light and progressive house compared to the hard hitting big room style he is known for. Usher fits well on this beat providing his well known strong pop vocals to the dance tune. I believe it is best vocal performance on a pop edm collaboration besting, "Without You" by David Guetta (2010).
